Embark on an exhilarating desert adventure with the “Trek Morocco Desert” featuring the captivating landscapes of the Jbel Saghro region. This trek offers a unique exploration of the Moroccan desert, providing an immersive experience amidst the stunning terrain of Jbel Saghro.

Located to the south of the Dades Valley and to the north of the Sahara, the Jebel Sarhro stretches from the west to the east, situated between the Draa and Ziz valleys, reaching a maximum elevation of 2712m. This region is characterized by its remoteness, with a population of 68,000 inhabitants. Access to this rural area is challenging, except for the two oasis towns of N’Kob and Tazzarine. These towns are positioned along the sole asphalted road in the region, situated at the base of the mountain.

Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via Tichka Pass

Embark on a 300 km journey, passing through the scenic Tichka Pass and the town of Ouarzazate. After loading the mules, set off for a brief walk to our first night’s accommodation in a Berber house (gite).

Day 2: Oasis Exploration to Irhazzoune n’Imlass

A day of leisurely walking, approximately 5 hours in total, includes the oasis of Tifdassine (1210m) before reaching our camp near Irhazzoune n’Imlass.

Day 3: Amguis Valley Adventure to Boilouz Oasis

Follow the route along the Amguis Valley, passing through the village of Amguis (1400m) and intriguing rock formations. After about 6 hours, arrive at Boilouz, where we camp at the oasis.

Day 4: Climb to Tassigdelt via Igli Village

Climb 700m to Tassigdelt, passing the small village of Igli on the way. Set up camp at Tassigdelt after a 6-hour walk.

Day 5: Summit of Kouaouch and Descent

Reach the summit of Kouaouch (2600m) before descending to our campsite at 2300m. Total walking time is 6 hours.

Day 6: Descent to Dades Valley and Return to Marrakech

Descend to the Dades Valley, crossing Iferd (2450m) en route, before picking up transport for the 6 to 7-hour journey back to Marrakech.
